Dressed All Round (DAR)

Barbers Sawmill offer dried and square dressed Tasmanian Hardwood timber, with a range of grades and sizes.

Tasmanian Hardwood has a light colour range, from straw to reddish browns, with shades of cream to light pinks.

Grades:

Select (SEL)

SEL Grade may have slight natural stain or discolouration and a small amount of tight gum vein and is generally of even figure and grain structure.

Medium Feature – Standard Grade (STD)

STD Grade has distinct natural features including natural stain or discolouration, tight and loose gum veins as well as small tight knots, black spec.

High Feature Grade (HFG)

HFG has a rich variety of distinct natural features including natural stain or discolouration, tight knots, black spec and pin holes.  Tight and loose gum veins, as well as gum pockets are present but will not extent through the board.

Length ranging from 1.2 to 5.4 metres

The dried timber offered by Barbers Sawmill is dried to a range of 8 -12% moisture content and sold in random length pack.

The timber needs to be pre-ordered with minimum order of $1,000 + GST

Construction Grade Dry timber

Tasmanian Hardwood is suitable for protected indoor framing for a stronger building frame. Barbers Sawmill offers a F17 grade in the following sizes:
